WebTMS at INTA 2025: The Team Shares Their Thoughts

WebTMS at INTA 2025: The Team Shares Their Thoughts

, By

As more than 10,000 people from around the globe prepare to travel to this year’s INTA annual meeting, the WebTMS team is sharing the excitement. From INTA veterans to first-timers, they are eager to meet our customers, partners, and friends at the highlight of the trade mark industry year.

We caught up with three team members to find out what they’re looking forward to this year, what visitors to WebTMS at stand 1522 can expect, and how they plan to approach the fun but challenging INTA schedule.

Embracing the theme: The Business of IP

This year’s conference theme resonates with WebTMS. We are powerfully aware of IP’s value to organizations and the importance of ensuring our products exceed the expectations of users who are working in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment. INTA is a great opportunity to get the guidance we need to ensure our software keeps evolving in the right direction.  WebTMS Regional Manager Michael Ullman, an experienced hand who has attended 13 INTA meetings, says: “Who better to get some of this feedback from than the people living in the system on a day-to-day basis. We want to always keep our clients happy and to help achieve some of their goals, and this is one way we do it.”

This year, WebTMS will be introducing power features developed following previous client input. These also reflect the evolving technology environment and include enhanced data analytics and reporting, alongside usability features. WebTMS will also be debuting its new Patent functionality, which couldn’t be more timely given the new Patent Series taking place at this year’s meeting. Designed for IP professionals looking to make the leap into patent practice, we’d advise any delegates who are planning to attend this series to head along to the WebTMS stand and find out how our award-winning trade mark management software is applied to the patent space.

WebTMS Support & Training Manager Christinne Wiss is excited to share all the new and existing WebTMS features and help clients and prospects link them to  business benefits, saying: “I think the Data Analytics is a great tool to help customers achieve commercial goals as it truly provides overall picture of not only their global Trademark portfolio but can be used to analyse disputes, assignments, clearance searches, and other IP matters.”

Hot Topics: AI Set to Dominate

Even though it will be her first time attending INTA, EU Software Support and Training Specialist, Viviene Daepp is pretty sure that AI will be a common topic among delegates: “AI is a huge topic and the beauty of it is there are so many potential applications and areas where it can assist the IP management process.”

Michael agrees: “Especially with all that is going on in the world right now and the amount of resources being allotted to AI, people will be talking about how to build it into client applications like our system and how it can help streamline processes and boost productivity.”

The meeting agenda reflects this interest, with sessions exploring Harnessing AI: Innovative Strategies and Practical Applications for Trademark Practitioners, Navigating the Right of Publicity in the Age of AI: Challenges and Opportunities, and The Business of Music: IP, AI, and the Future of Creativity just some of the AI themes offering delegates plenty to get excited about.

Beyond AI, Christinne thinks there’ll be interest in other productivity-boosting features that are already available in WebTMS: “We have a wealth of features that will accelerate workflows from email add-ins to data analytics – we want to make sure all our clients are using them to the best advantage.”

Team-building and friendship

With both Christinne and Michael having attended more than a decade of INTA meetings, it’s not surprising that they have a lot of friends to catch up with: “I love seeing existing and potential clients, some of whom I share friendship with on a personal level, too,” says Michael.

WebTMS is a global team, and INTA offers a great chance to get together with colleagues on a social level, too. Though they’ll be working hard, the team will definitely find time to socialise together.

Top tips for INTA survival

Michael has a wealth of advice for INTA delegates based on his own experience over the years: “Take small breaks and hydrate. Don’t forget to eat actual meals and not just snack on appetisers and junk,” he says. Also, don’t stay out too late! Get some rest to recharge, as the days are long and you are on your feet a lot.”

Christinne agrees, adding: “Comfortable shoes are essential!”

Come meet the WebTMS team!

The team will be warm and welcoming to every visitor to stand 1522, ready with information, guidance, and WebTMS’s famous chocolates. We also asked them what else visitors should talk to them about:

If you think Michael’s INTA tips sound like the kind of thing a dad would say, then you’d be right! Michael has recently become a father to a boy and girl and would like nothing more than to share his fatherly pride with you: “I LOVE them SO much! Whereas my answer to this question every year before them would have been something sports-related, it is now all about them. I still love sports, but rarely catch any as it comes down to watching those or spending extra time playing with them, and I’ll always pick the latter!”

Sports fans needn’t worry, though, Viviene is ready to take up the reins: “I’m a big NBA fan. I play a bit of basketball too but watch it a lot more – my favourite team is the Chicago Bulls.”

Christinne would love to talk books and new authors with you, so if you have a great read you’d like to share, don’t hold back!

We hope everyone has a fantastic INTA meeting and look forward to seeing you there. If you’re planning your schedule, why not book a time for a chat with us?
