WebTMS welcomes INTA to London!
The hands on the clock are turning, and the famous Big Ben bell is chiming the hours, counting down to the start of INTA 2026 on 2nd May, when the trade mark world arrives in London for an annual meeting like no other.
WebTMS’s headquarters are located just a short journey along the mighty River Thames, in the historic town of Reading, which makes London our backyard. We can’t wait to welcome visitors to our booth (#1431) and our capital city. Ahead of the event, our team is sharing what visitors can look forward to and their tips for getting the most out of this Very British INTA Meeting.
At the WebTMS booth: software innovation, expert guidance, and very British snacks!
WebTMS co-founder Rita O’Kyere has lost count of the number of INTA meetings she has attended, but WebTMS always has something new to offer. In London, she believes visitors will be keen to discuss the critical topic of software integration, which is essential in an increasingly interdependent software ecosystem.
This is Software Solutions & IP Specialist Ann-Marie Higgins’ first INTA meeting, and she’s excited to be attending. She says: “Many organisations are exploring how AI can support their business, and the topic will play heavily at this INTA. I’m looking forward to speaking to existing clients and potential clients and discussing their needs and seeing where WebTMS can help.”
Our Senior Software Developer Richard Crookes gives us the lowdown on the features and functionality on display: “We’re excited to showcase a range of upcoming system enhancements, designed to support the changing needs of IP professionals. This is just a short selection of updates, and there are many more enhancements designed to make your workflows faster, easier, and more efficient.
“Within the trade mark module, we will be adding a new “Country (Grouped)” report field, making it easier to organise and analyse records across jurisdictions. A new First Filing search filter will also allow users to refine results more quickly and locate key records with greater precision.
“Enhancements to customised reporting will providegreater flexibility and control. Users will be able to create reports faster by using existing reports as templates, while improved security and sharing options will make collaboration easier. We’re also introducing improvements to report editing and header image handling, including new orientation options to ensure clearer layouts. In addition, users will be able tooverride header text when running a report, including the option to add today’s date, making report generation smoother and more adaptable.
“As always, these updates will be included free of charge for users with an active WebTMS subscription.”
Alongside the wealth of technical information and workflow guidance delivered by WebTMS experts, visitors to the WebTMS booth will also be encouraged to sample the very British treat of scones and enter into the jam-first or cream-first debate that has divided residents of Devon and Cornwall for centuries!
We’re also hosting a client drinks reception on the evening of Monday 4th May at the amazing Hawksmoor Wood Wharf—an excellent opportunity to connect and unwind.
What to expect at a “different” INTA
London’s geography dictates that this INTA meeting will be different from many of its predecessors, as Rita explains: “We do not have large-sized conference hotels, meaning people will spread out across the city as they head to their accommodation. As a result, London’s amazing shops and sights are likely to be a distraction from the convention centre.” She believes that the historic buildings and iconic places of interest will be a draw for visitors who want to soak up some culture and recommends visiting one of London’s superb markets for a real taste of the capital.
Getting around the city will be a key part of the experience. London’s transport network is legendary, with red buses around every corner and the ubiquitous Uber, but for efficiency and a real taste of London life, visitors should head for the London Underground, affectionately known as the “Tube”, as Ann-Marie explains: “The Tube is your friend and with the updated tap in service, you can get round London easily without having to buy a physical ticket; you can just use your debit or credit card to tap in and out. The new Elizabeth line is great and will send you directly to the conference and back into the heart of London for any important client meetings or drinks receptions.”
WebTMS top ten London experience tips
London is packed with things to do, see, and eat, so when you’ve absorbed everything the INTA meeting has to offer, here are some tips for things to try while you’re here:
1. See a West End show: buy tickets on the day from the many concessions around the West End. We recommended “Six” at the Vaudeville Theatre, a 75-minute powerhouse performance based on the story of Henry VIII’s six wives. Or try relative newcomer Hadestown at the Lyric.
2. Try iconic British cuisine: Rita recommends that everyone should try British Fish and Chips at least once in their life, while Ann-Marie says you can’t beat a classic Sunday Roast at The Blacklock.
3. Visit the markets: London’s markets offer an incredible mix of food, fashion, and unique finds. Foodies should head to Southwark’s Borough Market, while fashion fanatics will find alternative styles and oodles of cool at Camden Market. For antiques and vintage clothing (and celebrity-spotting), check out Portobello Market in exclusive Notting Hill.
4. Discover Roman London at the Mithraeum: Built just 200 years after London was founded, in the 3rd century BCE, the Temple of Mithras lay undiscovered beneath London streets until excavations in 1954. Now part of Bloomberg’s European headquarters, the temple and its artifacts, including 400 fragments of ancient Roman writing-tablets, are free to visit.
5. Visit Tatty Devine for statement costume jewellery: London has a quirky creative scene that is embodied by this ultra-cool jewellery store in Covent Garden. Tatty Devine pieces are inspired by everything from kitchen utensils to myths and literature – often with a feminist lens.
6. Visit a classic London pub beer garden: If the sun shines, there’s nothing better than relaxing in a riverside beer garden and sampling a local ale. Our Marketing Executive Zara recommends the Trafalgar Tavern in Greenwich, a quintessentially British pub billed “The Jewel of the Thames” – just a short tube or taxi ride from the ExCel.
7. Check out urban art at Leake Street Arches: Beneath Waterloo Station, you’ll find a graffiti-adorned passageway where you can make your own contribution to London’s art scene. With restaurants, bars, and board game venues, it’s an eclectic location that is very London.
8. Step into the frame in an immersive, multi-sensory art experience: Visit FRAMELESS, at Marble Arch, where you can walk right through iconic artworks from Van Gogh, Rembrandt, Dali, and more.
9. Visit HMS Belfast: From firing some of the opening shots on D-Day to serving in the Korean War, HMS Belfast has an incredible naval history. With a crew of 950 and nine decks, this ship was a floating city so large you could lay Big Ben’s clock tower across it twice.
10. Ride the London Eye: Erected as a temporary structure to celebrate the millennium, the London Eye now forms part of New Year Fireworks every year. A great way to get a sense of the cityscape – but make sure the sun is shining before you book!
We hope that everyone has a wonderful time at INTA in London. The WebTMS team is on hand to help with any questions you have, whether they relate to software or the city – we’re here to help!
